Non-Surgical, No-Scar Facelift: Facial Threading

NEW to SkinSational Medical Aesthetics, we'd like to introduce the Miracu Threadlift – a non-surgical, no-scar facelift.

What is it?

Miracu embedded treading is a treatment using PDO (polydioxanone) threads or sutures that are injected into the hypo-dermis of the skin, providing a lifting and smoothing effect.

There are various thread lengths, giving the doctor a wide range of treatment options. They dissolve in a natural manner over 4-6 months, whilst synthesizing new collagen production in the treated area.

The threads are strategically placed, guided by the natural tension lines of the skin. Once placed, they act as a scaffold, lifting loose and sagging skin.

The result?

Smooth and bright skin, fewer wrinkles and an improvement in texture. The best thing is that the collagen remains for 18 months to 2 years.

What is the procedure ?

During the procedure, which only medical doctors are qualified to perform ( Dr.Diana Haage will perform this procedure ) multi-strand threads are injected deep underneath the surface of the skin, using different lengths of thin acupuncture needles.

The threads are strategically placed, guided by the natural tension lines of the skin. Once placed, they act as a scaffold, lifting loose and sagging skin.

The procedure also stimulates the production of collagen, and further creates a frame for the collagen to attach to, showing effects similar to that of a surgical facelift. The threads are reabsorbed and dissolved over a period of time, but due to the stimulation of collagen, the treatment shows prolonged rejuvenation effects.

Skin ages when elasticity and collagen is depleted, but due to the maximum collagen stimulation and a cell generation boost, the ageing process is drastically slowed down.

Miracu Threading relaxes the muscles, creating a similar effect to anti-wrinkle injections, but with a more natural look.

The procedure is relatively pain free, but to minimize any discomfort, a local anesthetic is injected into the area. Insertion points are then drawn over the treatment area, after which the doctor implants the threading wires into the correct position. Depending on the treatment area, the treatment takes between 15 to 45 minutes, with no downtime afterwards.

Q: Are results permanent?

The results should be considered long lasting rather than permanent.

Q: Will procedure cause scars / bruising?

There will be no scars but bruising does often occur ,particularly near the eyes or with larger threads

Q: Will I need to go into Seclusion for any length of time (hiding away –staying off work?)

It is a genuine “lunch time procedure”i.e. no time off s required eve if you have to cover a bruise.

Q: How long do results last?

Around two years as your body will continue to age.

Q: Will I still be able to show facial expressions – Frowns?

Yes absolutely though high numbers in the cheeks can temporarily affect the broadness of ones smile whilst admiring the result!

Q: Can Procedures be redone in the same areas if unsatisfactory result?

Certainly and in some ways it is better to form a basic scaffold of support in an area and go back to the same area in three months or so to give some lift using barbed threads.
